asshat, murdered that woman, lied lied lied. do not feel sorry for that p.o.s. he "never pointed a gun at anyone" and "didn't pull the trigger" but held the gun as it killed and wounded people.
hope he loses a butt-load of money in the civil suit, and doesn't find ANY work. be better if he lands in prison, tho.

I think you can count on the money in the civil suit. Probably - but not definitely - a criminal conviction. I don't know New Mexico law, but what we used to call Manslaughter should apply - carelessness and callous behavior resulting in death. Also, yes, he lied, although he may not have thought he actually pulled the trigger. I would like to see all the careless folks never involved with filmmaking again. The article in my local paper again said that the person who handed him the gun said it was unloaded, which wasn't true. It also said that the FBI investigation has found a really large amount of live ammunition was around - especially large when there was supposed to be "none". That said, the Post article is everything that is wrong with journalism. Very slanted. The article in our local paper didn't whitewash the FBI findings, did include his lawyer's claims (side note - do lawyers know how stupid they sound?) and was as close to neutral as you are going to get. And yes, I would think this was a career ender, in the long run. Won't be missed.
