The most comprehensive Freudian Slip and untruth of 2022 ................................ If this had been one of Biden's slips, this post would have been deemed unacceptably political. I state this not in opposition, but out of fairness. Ken, this is not meant to be an attack on you, but a request to keep on topic, lest we foment division where none needs exist

Ken, this is not meant to be an attack on you, but a request to keep on topic, lest we foment division where none needs exist Your point is well-taken, but endless unnecessary wars sold to us have massive consequences both here and throughout the world. Moreover, the War in Iraq was essentially promoted by Dick Cheney with little George Bush input. During 9-11 and until his retirement in 2005, I worked for former Florida Senator Bob Graham and he was one of the few Democratic Senators who had the courage and foresight to vote against it! The Senator did his due diligence and essentially agreed with my assessment that we were being 'sold' a war against a sovereign foreign state on 'cooked' intelligence and worse. Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11, but Saudi Arabia did? 18 of the hijackers came here on Saudi passports, but this and multiple other Saudi connections were hidden from the American people. We're already living in 1984esque times, but Thank GOD we have basketball to unwind and appreciate!!!!! *** Maybe this is 'Pickin' Bones' material? Lord knows I've had a hankering for some good barbecue lately....................

I don't see that this should be a hot button political issue? Even if Biden had said it? I think it is generally accepted that the reasons given for the Iraq war were not accurate? Even those who supported it at the time have admitted it? Whether or not it was a good or bad idea in general I leave to the historians. But largely, Bush's slip is hysterical in my opinion.

You're right; it shouldn't be, but in these crazy, angry, vengeful sociopolitical times, Swash has a valid point as well. So much division and so little acceptance in our world; and I'm sincerely NOT referring to anyone on this site, just our society in general. Thank both of you for your well-reasoned thoughts, but now let me focus on basketball where I mostly raise fewer red flags; save those few instances when I venture to the quintessence of dystopian dunderheads @ Lady Vol Nation from where I'm certain to be banned.......
