Don't care what softwares and daily scrubbing you use, surrender all hope of a scintilla of privacy.
Silly little example. I started a topic here yesterday about naming players from other teams you like and I picked Haley Jones. Today the YouTube feed shoved this under my nose.
For all my time with YouTube it has never proferred up a Stanford player 'til now.
For years I have surrendered to the notion that this is the cost of roaming the internet. I have even resigned myself to the fact that my cell phone is totally bugged - mention I need to buy something and later boot up to find the item in an ad on another site or whatever. But this one struck me as spookily microsnooping!

At least it isn't personal, in the sense that there isn't a live person involved. And yes, I am thoroughly sick of it, especially when I Google something random for a specific bit of info and suddenly am besieged with enough additional information to start a book.

my sister is a born-again luddite. however, she was at Mom's and noticed that "Alexa" was on. She asked Mom to turn it off, saying (in part), "Mom, it's evil" The next thing they heard was Alexa saying "I'm not evil."
Me thinks it is... evil.
