I talked to Maria Marino the other day and she told me the plan is to get back to some normal! She plans to be on the sidelines this year and yes there are plans to do a GA in some capacity.
Love this!

So we'll probably have the return of some kind of Geno show, which would be fantastic.

Read it as written and given the UConn connection, apparently she has plans to do a Geno.

I have stayed out of the fray. But, I do have a bit of a pet peeve about using initials and acronyms. In this case, I think most of us recognize GA as Geno Auriemma, AF as Azzi Fudd, PB as Paige, and so on. I don't have issues with that here. We pretty much know all the players and coaches and using initials is just easier. Plus, it is a common understanding.
When it comes to some other acronyms though, it does bug the heck out of me. Yes, I know. Social media is not intended to be formally structured communication. If an acronym is used and I don't know what it is, I Google it.
In the workplace though, good lord, the acronyms are out of control. My immediate teammates will know our frequently used ones. But when I get communication from those external to my immediate work group and they throw out acronyms, I directly respond "I don't know what that means. Please define BOR, EPID, WCC..." Each area has their own acronym language. As a practice I define it when I first use it if I need to use it repeatedly "Writing Company Code (WCC)". I don't have patience with those who just assume everyone knows all of the 10,000 acronyms in use throughout a company with 17,000 employees and hundreds of departments.
Rant over. And JG...you're good.

I thought posting something sort of news worthy and coming back on the board would be a positive thing for me. To get ready for a huge new season with the fan base. Maybe it wasn’t as great as I thought it would be. I’ll prob just lurk for awhile. All good. Can’t wait for game 1!

I don't always agree with your aesthetic appreciations, but I sure liked you both on TOB and here. Let's see more from you and not to worry. We need to hear about the media stuff! Hope all the personal issues get resolved.

Sorry to hear about your personal struggles. Been there done that, not in the same way I'm sure but going through tough times heightens our emotions.
Hang in there. Keep posting your updates. Especially insider information. A return of The Geno Auriemma Show will be yet another sign of "normalcy'.
