Sad, so sad to watch this team. They played well in the first quarter, but it's been downhill ever since - currently losing 38-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter.
10 years ago, UConn FB was on the rise. It's been sinking ever since and I just don't see anything positive today. Why would I spend 100s of dollars to watch this team (or any FB team)?
To think this game is what college sports revolves around.
Sad, very sad.

I was a season ticket holder during the "relatively" good years. Pasqualoni started the decline, then Diaco put the nail in the coffin. Well, really, Edsall's previous departure started the decline. He is back, but I think he is in it more to close out his career than to actually try to develop these kids. And also to be considered that when the Big East was raided and top teams jumped to other conferences, recruiting started to decline. It is just a mess now, and it is an ugly product on the field. Just not competitive. I actually forgot there was a game yesterday, that is how far my interest has dropped. It is sad. We spent a lot of fun afternoons at The Rent, but when it became a 3 and punt team who couldn't seem to score no matter what they did, it was no longer fun. Don't get me wrong. I am not a win only fan. I can take losing as long as more times than not there is a chance for a win, the team can execute on offense and defense. It became the opposite of UConn women's basketball. Instead of the feeling most games "how much will they win by?" UConn football always has the feeling "how much will they lose by?" Unless things change, I do see UConn dropping down to DII or even dropping football altogether.

I saw the highlights. Unfortunately they didn't involve UConn on offense.
I definitely feel for you - Rutgers at one time was just awful. We struggled to figure out what game they were playing. It is fair to say that Rutgers is struggling to be successful in the B1G, but compared to what they are now, they were a disgrace.
I agree with the history listed and remember when UConn was respectable in Football.
I never quite wrapped my head around the creation of the Rent, I'm not sure it really helped the program in the end.
