Ware may be talented but she is totally incapable of guarding the Aus post(s). Has Close told her team that only Johnson & Clark are allowed to shoot? There is absolutely no offensive plan. Reminds me of UCLA, just let the guards create. That's why Close wins a lot of games but very few against elite teams. D Johnson would fit right in at UCLA. Close is like Jim Harbaugh: turns 5 star recruits into 3 star players. |

Final score 70-52 USA wins... it was ugly. Clark went 3-12, Azzi was 2-10, Citron was 2-8 and Peyton Verhulst was 1-7.... tough shooting day all around.

Watched q2 through to the end. You're right, absolutely no offensive plan.
Other than man or zone, no defensive plan either. Azzi clearly leading the driving aussie to the outside, but no help ever arrived. AF also spent a lot of time standing in the lane on D, until the ball came over from the other side. Strange.
Hard to tell if Clarke was trying to break the ice, or hogging the ball. Possible that was requested... or needed to get them going

For those chose not to spend the $7, you made the right decision. I'm happy we won, but it wasn't great basketball. I paid for it, and I bailed part way through.
