I'm not interested in IFS, ANDs, BUTS or MAYBE's. Too many questions and not enough GIVENS for me. Can you list each category for your ifs, ands, buts and maybes? How about givens? This was tongue and cheek. I'm finding the merry -go -round to be amusing.

1--- The frontcourt rotation. Assuming no transfers for talking points – this is the weakest link in that it’s all youth and also health concerns. If healthy, the positive is that they have many ways to play this because so many are different. Even the 4 most obvious – Jana, Ice, Ayanna, and Sarah are different. Then as we saw with our own eyes last year you can also go unconventional because not only are there more “bigs” this season, there are more guards.
2--- I expect KK to start. I expect Paige and Geno to determine when they want Paige playing off the ball or set up the offense. Paige and KK are both pgs. And in those 30-50 pt blowout games expect Morgan to give KK and Paige a rest and play the pg (Morgan can play non-blowout/important minutes at other positions).
3--- Azzi or Ashlynn at the 2? - I would in no way start Azzi. She has been consistently hurt since the end of her High School soph year during the summer and/or has played “mini-schedules” such as frequently out her frosh year and in h/s her COVID year. Further, I wouldn’t be surprised if Azzi has knee swell up at times – so for consistency sake—at least early on – I’d start Ashlynn.
Losing players drafted for WNBA definitely hurts. KK and Paige (and depending on Q and Morgan) are the frontrunners to guard best perimeter player. I know there will be some talk of not wanting to play Paige vs the best perimeter scorer- but she can without much of a hitch. She’s a pro playing against college kids. This doesn’t mean though that she has to play the best perimeter offensive player all game or play denial in a way like Nika did. Paige can be Paige and not Nika.
I would love to get Chen. (and Beers of course)

To me Beers is the difference between possible NC and no NC ! SO, if UCONN doesn't get Beers -- you are saying UCONN has no shot to win it all?

Hey, there is always a chance that all the stars align with unproven Ice and Jana. But looking at other top 4 team front courts, I think it would be difficult. That would mean the two mentioned would be outplaying some really proven players. This my realistic objective point of view. All of these teams have AA players that can compete w/ Paige.

That would mean the two mentioned would be outplaying some really proven players. This my realistic objective point of view. All of these teams have AA players that can compete w/ Paige. Why would our frontcourt have to outplay their frontcourts? You're assuming Azzi will either get hurt again or not return to form. But Paige had been hurt 2x and this year was fantastic. No team in all WCBB, except arguably ND if Miles returns to form--and that seems a far bigger secret than Azzi--has a guard combo that can match Azzi and Paige. No one has a 6th man quite like Aubrey. Our frontcourt doesn't have to outplay the best frontcourt in the country. It just has to play well enough that UConn outscores the other team. I don't think your view is realistic. Realism, to me, is that it's a team game, and some strengths cover some weaknesses. And weaknesses grow into strengths. The Bulls won 6 championships with 2 great players and a lot of roll players. They figured out how to get it done. Did anyone in the world give UConn a chance to make the FF (and almost make the finals) back in (say) January? Who would have bet they'd even make the Elite Eight? A great coach and a couple of great players, and no one can predict what will happen.
