Seems a lot of buzz about Amari going to Maryland. But, Raoul’s site doesn’t have it yet. Maybe just blowing smoke?

Another big that might be helpful in UConn's rotation (and punished UConn in their match-up) but maybe not willing to settle for just part of the rotation.

Another player who would be effective in the front court rotation and ND's offense is somewhat similar to UConn's (both based on Princeton/Chin series), so probably an easier adjustment, but maybe unlikely to accept anything but a starting role.

So you're telling me that these kids want to play in WNBA but they are afraid of competing for a position on the most iconic wcbb team which will bring them success if they are capable ?

You're telling me that, not vice-versa. But okay. Do you want to go to a place where you are likely to share minutes with younger players whom Geno is heavily invested in developing for the next 3 or 4 years; plus be overshadowed by THREE #1 high school players (Paige, Azzi, and Sarah)? Or do you want to go someplace where you're one of the most important players on the team and will get more minutes and look more responsible for wins? I dunno, really. I think each player has to make up her own mind on that. Some players think like you say (Dorka and Lou really benefitted), but others may not think that way. If everyone thought that way, every high school player that UConn offered would have accepted. But around half those offered go elsewhere. Hmmmm.....

To my mind those who are concerned about minutes need not apply. LLS came to UConn when Bueckers and Fudd were the starters. She was confident about her talent and her play reflected that opinion. Both she and Juhasz were largely ignored by the media. But the W jumped them up over some other highly touted seniors. UConn is a lot like NY, if you can make it there you can make it anywhere.

UConn is one of the best schools (used to be the best; now, I'd bet a lot of players think it's South Carolina) for getting far in the tournament. But my guesstimate is that around 50% of all high schoolers whom UConn offer actually go elsewhere. And we don't know how many other players Geno would want that he doesn't even offer, since he's got the message that UConn isn't their likely choice. There are various reasons for choosing schools besides how far they get in the tournament.

Does anyone know anything about Talia Goodman, besides the fact that she lives in Massachusetts? After looking through around 50 of her posts, she seems to post facts, not speculation, except, notably that this post is an "expected" air to it and no source. But the rest of her stuff does seem pretty solid.

Get her on campus and close the deal! Honestly, why would you play at OK over UConn. I get her coach is going there but UConn is going to compete for a championship!

One thing about the portal, not saying it's a good thing, is that it gives message boards something to chew on for an extra few days post season.
Isn't the portal door about to slam shut? Then all of this speculation about who's gonna' go where will be old news. Then what will everyone argue/speculate about?

South Carolina has nothing to do with this.

Tragically mediocre and mistaken about most of what he says, but let's hope he's right about Raegan:

All I'm saying is, Geno has coached the national team successfully. Paige is the only proven player right now. Azzi still needs to PROVE she can play a whole season. SS isn't even in uniform yet. Any HOF coach should play the best players. He has commented many times that he would play the BEST TEAM. If player comes in and wins the job Geno would dissapoint me greatly. Not only that , but the players on the team would "know " it too. We are talking abut a future WNBA talent in Beers. There is already going to be competition for every position on the floor except for Paige. I just don't agree with protecting players from the truth of their skills. If a player is afraid of the competition and leaves, so be it !
